Cannabis grow-op operator Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) has been licensed to serve adult consumers in New Jersey.

AWH is one of the first operators in New Jersey to begin adult sales in the coming weeks – initially through its flagship Ascend Rochelle Park dispensary. AWH currently operates two of the state’s 23 medical dispensaries, officials said, and is expected to sell adult-use cannabis products at its retail store in Montclair, New Jersey, while opening a third dispensary in Fort Lee, New Jersey later this year.

The New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) has approved AWH to begin adult-use cultivation and manufacturing operations at its facility in Franklin, New Jersey. The effort includes 16,000 square feet of canopy, reaching 100,000 square feet by the end of 2023.
