
Community Human Services is running a Basic Needs Campaign to benefit unaccompanied homeless youth in Monterey County. CHS collects food, clothing, hygiene products and other items until the end of the year.

The most useful items include:
- Toiletries such as hand sanitizer, toothbrushes, combs, brushes, deodorants and sanitary products
- Clothing items such as new socks and underwear, sweatshirts and disposable hand warmers
- Snacks such as granola and protein bars, peanut and almond butter, jams and jellies, hot chocolate, instant oatmeal and soup
CHS provides services to unaccompanied homeless youth in Monterey County through its three programs: Safe Place Youth Shelter in Monterey, Monterey Peninsula Street Outreach Program, and the new Salinas Valley Street Outreach Program. Homeless youth are in constant need of hygiene items, clothing and food.
For more than 50 years, Community Human Services has positively impacted the community through prevention, intervention and treatment services for addiction, mental health and homelessness.
