In honor of National Women’s Month, the inspirational event with powerful speakers, takeaways and networking opportunities provided one attendee with a $1,000 endowment for entrepreneurship.
In honor of National Women’s Month, serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Avere, Elizabeth Polkethis weekend celebrated women in business by welcoming the sold-out Women’s empowerment conference in North Bergen, New Jersey on Saturday, March 19, 2022. The event aimed to connect and empower like-minded women entrepreneurs through a day of conversation and fun.
“Capitalizing on the positive energy of National Women’s Month, it’s critical that women realize their true potential and learn the skills to become the most powerful version of themselves,” Polke said. “It was an honor to bring together influential women for a day of empowerment and engagement. Being a mentor not only to my team of sales professionals, but to women on a larger scale is my greatest passion, and I was thrilled to see the turnout today.
The action-packed program inspired attendees through a series of entrepreneurial speakers who shared their personal and professional journeys as businesswomen in the 21st century. In her address to attendees, Ms. Polke shared her journey to the United States as an emigrant from Ecuador and how that experience made her who she is today. Notably, Ms. Polke also detailed her five pillars of success, including Belief, Vision, Action, Determination and Gratitude. Together, these pillars have guided Ms. Polke’s professional career and served as an inspiration to others.
In addition to Ms. Polke’s keynote, guest speakers included Luciane Serifovic, CEO and Founder of Luxian International Realty; Paula Gadtaula, CEO and Founder of Maji Safi Products; Lisbeth Abreu, CEO and Founder of Looks to Love by Lis; and Chamin Ajjan, CEO and Clinical Director of Chamin Ajjan Psychotherapy. Networking opportunities with influential women and shopping at women-owned vendors rounded out the lecture series. At the end of the day’s festivities, Caroline Booth, philanthropist and guest at the event, received an endowment of $1,000. Instead of applying the endowment to support her business efforts, Ms. Booth opted to donate the funds to her church in the Philippines.
