Evergreen Theragnostics, Inc., one of the leading radiopharmaceuticals contract manufacturing and development (CDMO) organizations, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new manufacturing facility in Springfield.
From the new facility, Evergreen is ready and able to meet the manufacturing needs of companies that develop and market radiopharmaceuticals, from preclinical and early stage clinical trials to large-scale commercial manufacture of approved products. The newly constructed 14,000 square foot facility meets global cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards for the manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals, including therapeutic and centrally distributed diagnostics. It includes seven commercial scale production suites, two of which are available for future customization based on customer needs, as well as research space, multiple sterility lines, quality control, material storage and a packing space. The facility uses a fully electronic QMS (Quality Management System) and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and is licensed to safely handle a wide variety of radionuclides.
The location was chosen both for access to the region’s vast pool of pharmaceutical talent and for the logistical advantages of being in New Jersey. Close to major transportation hubs such as Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, the facility is able to seamlessly manage material supply chains first inbound from Europe and the United States and outbound delivery to North America. just in time customers.
