Mira Rajput, Ishaan Khatter and Neliima Azeem come together to support Shahid Kapoor’s jersey at the screening

After creating substantial buzz and a lot of delay, Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey standout is set to hit theaters tomorrow (April 22). For the uninitiated, Jersey happens to be the official Bollywood remake of the national award-winning Telugu movie Jersey starring Nani. Interestingly, the Jersey team held a screening of the sports drama last night and several celebrities were seen arriving to watch the Shahid Kapoor star. Amidst this, Shahid’s family were also spotted attending the Jersey screening.

And now Shahid’s brother, Ishaan Khatter, has shared some inside glimpses of the Jersey screening as those close to the actor gathered to cheer on the film. In the photos, Shahid and Ishaan were seen holding on to each other as they posed together for the camera. Shahid looked dapper in his smart shirt and jeans while Ishaan exuded charm in his black shirt. He captioned the image as, “Okay love it’s jerseyyyyy time.” He also shared a photo of Mira Rajput and Neliima Azeem who were seen pairing up in white and their panache was unmatched. The photo was captioned “Beauties”.

Speaking of Jersey, the film has been making waves since its announcement and will feature Shahid playing the role of a cricketer for the first time on the big screen. In fact, the actor was seen honing his batting skills on the cricket pitch to get into character. Helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri Jersey also features Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead.
