JACKSON – The Jackson Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in an attempted luring incident that occurred on Pitney Lane near Danielle Court.
At around 12:28 p.m. on October 30, the 13-year-old victim was walking on Pitney Lane near Danielle Court when a car approached her. At that time, the victim used his phone to film the car.
The car backed up towards the victim and the driver asked, “Are you cold? I can give you a ride. Get in my car.
The victim then ran to the nearest residence on Danielle Court and the suspect left the area on Pitney Lane towards East Veterans Highway.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male of around 40, with short brown hair and a dark-colored t-shirt. No further description is available at this time.
The car appears to be a 2007-2014 GMC Yukon XL, white in color. Although he appears to have an NJ recording of VLP61C, that recording is not coming back on file, police said. Many registration combinations were also negative. The car has what appear to be six-spoke wheels painted black and also appears to be missing its rear window wiper.
Anyone with information regarding the car and / or its driver should contact Detective Dominic Manion at 732-833-3016 or Jackson Police Dispatch at 732-928-1111.
