Suburban Propane volunteers, including the President and CEO, Michael Stivala were joined by Guy Fieri and the Guy Fieri Foundation for showing appreciation and providing handmade meals to veterans on site as well as veterans living in shelters across the state. This effort took place on friday april 1stst at post VFW 2179 at Port Monmouth, New Jersey and on saturday april 2 at extension VFW 2290 at Manville, New Jersey.
In addition to volunteers from Suburban Propane and the Guy Fieri Foundation, from New Jersey First lady Tammy Murphy stopped to lend a hand. Middletown, New Jersey Mayor Tony Perry also volunteered his time to serve the veterans in attendance. Former NFL Stars Christian Pierre and Rasheed Simmons were also present. This meaningful event is part of Suburban Propane’s “SuburbanCares” corporate initiative that supports philanthropic and community efforts in all of the company’s 42 states by United States. Suburban Propane is committed to supporting U.S. veterans year-round through its “Heroes Hired Here” employment program, veteran friend program, and offerings such as a military relocation allowance.
